Recently, I had the opportunity to attend PodFest Expo 2023, held in Orlando from January 26-29, 2023.
For those who may be unfamiliar, PodFest is like the "FinCon" for podcasters and content creators.
As someone who was first introduced to podcasting at SXSW 2018, I was eager to attend this event and learn from some of the biggest names in the industry.
Here are some of the key takeaways that I learned from attending PodFest Expo 2023:
Artificial Intelligence is growing and changing the podcasting game. Microsoft recently invested 10 billion into OpenAI, and with the likes of ChatGPT and DALL-E, the amount of creativity and opportunity for content creators is incredible.
Networking is key. As John Mendez (Walk 2 Wealth Podcast) pointed out, the ideas and connections you make at events like PodFest are the real reasons why they're so valuable.
Podcasting is still a growing medium. If you missed out on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, podcasting still has untapped potential for content creators to build an audience, reach potential customers, and grow their influence.
The tools and strategies for podcasting are constantly changing. As entrepreneurs, it's important to stay ahead of the technological curve and utilize the latest tools to grow your podcast.
Attending events like PodFest is essential for growth. With its lineup of industry experts, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, it's the perfect place to learn, grow, and connect with other podcasters.
In conclusion, I highly recommend attending PodFest Expo to all podcasters and content creators. The experience was truly invaluable, and I came away with new insights, ideas, and connections that I know will help me grow my podcasting game.
